We invite all Sunnybrookers to share a story or stories about their experiences of racism, discrimination and effects of settler colonialism at the hospital.
How to Tell Your Story

Express your interest in participation
Click the following link to check your eligibility and to express your interest to participate
in the study.

Eligibility Verification and Documentation
We will verify your eligibility to participate and, if eligible, connect with you to answer any questions you might have and to complete our Informed Consent Form. We will also provide you with a brief survey to fill out through which we collect anonymized demographic information (such as your racial identity, age, gender etc.). Once you have completed the consent form, we will email you a link to record your story.

Think of Your Story
Take some time to think of the story you would like to share. If you need inspiration, please look at some of our story prompts.

Record Your Story
Once you receive the Zoom link, click the link and record your story! You will have the option of using video/audio, or only audio, to record your story. You may pause, stop, restart the recording if you wish. If you prefer to write your story, please email it to storiesforchange@sunnybrook.ca.

Share Your Story
Your story will be uploaded to a secure server. We will contact you to thank you for your time, arrange an honorarium, and ask you to fill out a media release form so you can tell us whether and how we could use your story.
